Dr. Sahar Zaidi is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy, Jamia Hamdard. She has also worked in the Centre of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Sciences, Jamia Millia Islamia. She is a Certified Manual therapist from the Capri Institute of Manual Therapy a Dry Needling Practitioner with more than 10 years of teaching and clinical experience. Her research areas are Breast cancer rehabilitation, functional limitations due to low back pain, and Psychometric properties of self-reported questionnaires. She is NET qualified and besides doing Bachelors of Physiotherapy and Masters of Physiotherapy, she has completed a Diploma in Nutrition and Health Education as well. She has attended various workshops, seminars, and webinars of National and International repute and has been a resource person/invited speaker for research related topics and upcoming concerns related to musculoskeletal health at National and International Symposiums. She has been actively involved in conducting Health-related outreach programs after the pandemic which has benefitted all mainly the women and geriatric population. She has been continuously striving for professional up-gradation by attending various Faculty Development Programs. She has published articles in Journals of International repute with high impact factors and Scopus and Pubmed Indexing. She has participated in International Conferences in the form of oral paper presentations and poster presentations. She is also a member of various committees at the university level such as the Women Development Cell, Working Committee of Rehabilitation Centre, Literary Club, Health-related outreach program committee and the Admission committee. She is a reviewer of reputed journals amongst which the Elsevier journal “Journal of Bodywork and Movement Therapies”, Taylor and Francis journal “Disability and Rehabilitation”, Springer Nature journal “Archives of Physiotherapy”, Wolters Kluwer journal “Journal of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences University” and “Qeios” are a few.
